I'm respected by my peers and teachers that are always willing to help in my times of need. Junior: It's a place where I feel safe and welcomed, ready to learn on any given day. Other than that, I am proud to be a Highlander at Homestead High School. There are multiple cases in which students are being bullied for their beliefs and identity and the administration doesn't do as much as they're supposed to honor those victimized of bullying at school. It's a great academic environment to be in however, there isn't enough attention being brought to students' culture and safety. Homestead also provides an "AVID" class which is dedicated to college preparation, being extremely effective to developing organization and skills needed for the future. The teachers at Homestead ensure that we are learning in a way that helps everyone understand and feel comfortable with what they are doing.
